The Seafood Company beginning

It all begins with an idea.

Sergio and Susan were born and raised in Los Angeles California, they were introduced to each other in 1994, after they married they loved to host family functions where they both would cook up old family recipes adding their own twists, the hot topic of all the family functions revolved around the food, both Family and Friends would rave about the food and the fact that they should open a business in order to introduce more people to what the two had created, however with the high cost of living and expenditures in Los Angeles they never had the opportunity to expand on any of the ideas, as they began to raise the young family they began to entertain the idea of moving elsewhere, the thought was to raise the family in a new environment and finally open a business.

In 2005 Sergio and Susan decided on moving to Fresno, California. The move officially took place on the 4th of July in 2006. The first stop was Sanger, California. At the time the children were (5, 7, and 11 years old), after a few short weeks they began to make the moves to open what would be "The Seafood Company" which began on Kings Canyon near Peach, across the street from Sunnyside High School. While laying out the business plan and the ground work finding a Niche they decided to open a southern style "you buy, we fry!" but even further taking it up a notch and adding some Mexican quick eats like Tacos and Burritos as well as "Mariscos" deciding to bring a little bit of the "Los Angeles flavor" with a touch from the family's "old country" recipes and their very own twists therefore creating "The Seafood Company".

On a very tight budget they both worked over 14 hours daily, 7days a week, stretching the budget a little further by doing the work that they could do on their own like tile work, painting, some of the plumbing, city permits etc. all this was going on while the children where practically raised on site, they both working tirelessly joined by family to be able to grow and nurture the business, 6 years later they finally outgrew the 1200 square foot space on Kings Canyon near Peach and grew into the 3600 square foot space that they are in today, still on Kings Canyon, cross street with Dearing near Chestnut.
